RESOLUTION NO. 1-01

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING RONALD E. THOMPSON, ATTORNEY – AUDITOR OF THE PORT OF MANCHESTER TO PAY BILLS AUTHORIZED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMISSION SUBJECT TO RATIFICATION AT THE NEXT FOLLOWING MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, there are bills presented to the Port of Manchester from time to time for payment between the regular monthly meetings of the Board of Commissioners on the second Monday of each month which should be paid before the next meeting, and

WHEREAS, Ronald E. Thompson, attorney-auditor for the Port is bonded in the sum of $50,000 in his official capacity to represent the Port in payment of outstanding bills, and

WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate to authorize Ronald E. Thompson to pay Port obligations that require payment subject to ratification at the next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, NOW THEREFOR, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:

1. Ronald E. Thompson, Attorney-Auditor for the Port of Manchester is hereby authorized to pay Port bills between meetings of the Board of Commissioners on verbal request of the President or Secretary of the Commission.

2. Bills paid in this manner will be subject to ratification at the next regular or special meeting of the Board of Commissioners and reported to the Treasurer of Kitsap County in the usual manner.
