PORT OF MANCHESTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MONTHLY MEETING, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2008 5:30PM MANCHESTER LIBRARY

Those attending were:  Carol Campbell; Eric Cisney; Joe Guariz; Margaret Guariz; Norma Brady and Steve Pedersen.

Together, we all reviewed the October 13th, 2008 Manchester Port Meeting as well as the
actions taken.  The Port allocated $1,500 dollars towards the Manchester Sign Project.  Contract Administrator, Alan Fletcher was instructed to secure the Bathroom lock to the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and to work with Commissioner Strode and David Hopkins on the extruded curbing project.  The Port also allocated up to $1,000 towards this project.  Also reviewed was the upcoming 2009 Manchester Port Budget as well as the present status of the Grant's that the Port of Manchester is currently pursuing.

The PSE light plan was not discussed, as it has not been received by any of the members of the Port Advisory Committee and so will be on a later meeting agenda.  The Port of Manchester also instructed Contract Administrator Alan Fletcher and Commissioner Strode to have Mr. Hopkin’s attorney draw up a proposed lease regards to Port Property that he proposes to maintain.

Finally, the Port Advisory Committee was advised that a letter has gone out to the Port Orchard Rotary regarding their assistance to the Port on improving our bank and perhaps Pomeroy Park as well.  There being no further business or discussion and no noted action items at this time, the October 16th, 2008 Port Advisory Committee Meeting was adjourned until next month.

Respectively submitted,

Steve Pedersen, Manchester Port Commissioner
